Last Call for Fifth Cohort of Global Agritech 101
Dear Friends,
I deeply value the attention you lavish to this newsletter so I’ll keep it short. (Plus! I am terrible at selling and hate it with every fiber of my being to peddle my stuff).
We have 11 hours left for the fifth cohort of Global Agritech 101 course (testimonials from the earlier four cohorts are here) to commence and cohort is getting as diverse as it gets. Our Global Agritech 101 course contains three modules viz.,1) Evolution 2) Value Chain 3) Technology.
Of the three modules, the Evolution module, which Om and I will be covering today, is closest to my heart. To tell you why, I would need to tell you a small story.
Someone saw Mulla Nasiruddin searching for something on the ground. “What have you lost, Mulla?” he asked. “My key,” said the Mulla.
So they both went down on their knees and looked for it. After a time the other man asked: “Where exactly did you drop it?”
“In my own house.”
“Then why are you looking here?” “There is more light here than inside my own house.”
When you are designing a course for changemakers seeking to transform Food and Agriculture Systems in smallholding farm contexts, there is an inevitable conflict between the Evolution that you want to see and the Evolution that is happening.
When we talk about Evolution we want to see, we discuss this in the course.
When I talk about Evolution that is happening, we discuss this in the course.
How do we reconcile between the two ?
That’s the question we are attempting to answer through a rough model: Evolution of Agritech= F (Geography, Value Chain, Technology, Culture, Land, Water, Labor, Energy, Finance)
If this is your kind of poison, you will enjoy the course. You can sign up via Stripe here or via UPI (venkat.raman.kr@icici) -10 K INR //120 USD
Thank you once again for reading Agribusiness Matters (and apologies once again for sending a ‘salesy’ email)
Cheers
