I deeply value the attention you lavish to this newsletter so I’ll keep it short. (Plus! I am terrible at selling and hate it with every fiber of my being to peddle my stuff). We have about 11 hours left for the course to commence and the cohort is getting as diverse as it gets.
Our "Global Agritech 101" course contains three modules 1) Evolution 2) Value Chain 3) Technology. Of the three modules, the Evolution module, which Om and I will be covering today, is closest to my heart.
This might sound ironic for a facilitator to say. But, I will.
I hate "Takeaways".
Some of the greatest teachers I have encountered in my life facilitated sessions that blew my mind simply because there were no "takeaways". You enter the session as one person. And leave the session as another person altogether.
And that's the tall internal benchmark I have for my sessions.
Take this image from the first "Evolution" module. This image comes from an excellent paper I read from Ankara University. When you step back and look at the bigger picture, you start to question fundamentals. You start to inquire about climatic patterns. You start to ask the question: Why did agritech evolve "this" way as opposed to another way?
We had a “dry run” yesterday with friends and I am doing final tweaks to make it more…fun. Om's style and my style are as different as jazz and rap. If you are the kind of person who doesn’t mind missing Friday evenings (or mornings for those outside India) for 120 minutes of irreverent, inquisitive learning, you should join us. You can sign up via Razorpay or Stripe or DM me if you have any questions and want to directly sign up via Paypal. I am creating this thread for any questions you might want to ask here about the course.
Thank you once again for reading Agribusiness Matters (and apologies once again for sending a ‘salesy’ email)
